The author of this book, Alison McGhee, wrote a very gripping novel. I think that she wrote this book to show the bond between sisters is everlasting, even when there's no hope. This does not seem to be a topic that's very close to her heart, but she did her research and ended up writing a good novel.I feel that the overall message is that no matter how hard it may be, or how long it will take, letting people go must be done to continue on with your own life. These are honest words to live by, and actually happen to be a life lesson I've learned from. She is a very good author.
I have not become aware of this author until I read this story. Unfortunately I do not believe I have read any of her other books, but I'm sure they are as great as this one. I have so many other books that I own that I have left unread, but I'm sure I'll read another one of Alison McGhee's books sometimes soon. She is such a great author, I really enjoyed this novel. I applaud the author's writing ability and how she can make it so relatable to readers.
